What a change in the scene in one year, the Boeing 777X is grounded everywhere in the world and the sales have been at such a decline this year and the stock prices are worser than the S&P

In segmenta any citizen can write bill and state rep or Senate introduce it then voting and if passed becomes law. For supersonic flight, the need of a "quiet boom" is the only thing holding it back.
As for China and other competitors, they will have to come up with something original in order to open
the door into the aircraft market.
Airbus did it by bringing us the twinjet.
And Boeing did it by bringing us the first large commercial jetliners.

Bombardier partnered with Airbus after Boeing complained that Bombardier were getting subsidized by the Canadian government, even though Boeing got their own subsidies. So Trump did an idiot knee jerk and levied heavy tariffs on them. Now , Airbus has the RJ market they didn't have before. And Boeing? KARMA, with the 737 Max.
