If you want to read about the Green New Deal in the lens of the 2020 election, I recommend this piece explaining Washington Gov. Jay Inslee’s proposal: https://www.vox.com/energy-and-environment/2019/5/4/18527458/climate-change-jay-inslee-for-president-2020

Inslee has the most ambitious climate proposals; it is, as Vox's David Roberts writes, the Green New Deal translated into policy.

Mint Visto At $16.3 trillion spent over 15 years, Sanders’ climate deal is by far the priciest of all the Democratic candidates left in the primary race. It’s also arguably the most progressive — pushing for the US to have a carbon-free economy by 2050. The senator from Vermont also set a 2030 benchmark goal of reaching 100 percent renewable energy in the country’s two most carbon-intensive industries, transportation and the power sector, by investing in solar, wind, and geothermal power. Sanders’ plan would also declare climate change a national emergency,

One only has to recall AOC's former (thank God) Chief of Staff who readily admitted that the Green New Deal wasn't really about the climate. In a Washington Post profile he said, "The interesting thing about the Green New Deal is it wasn’t originally a climate thing at all. Because we really think of it as a how-do-you-change-the-entire-economy thing.”

What about natural burning like wood-burning stoves, campfires, and things like that. This video doesn't explain it, there's no depth. It's, at best, explanatory only of the outlined idea.

People it seems odd to talk a out zero emissions when the common car is full out gas guzzling SUV driven by mom picking up the kids. To be honest though we don't have electric vehicles to fill in for the petrol vehicles we use now. Their is no way you are going to remove gas vehicles at this point unless you fill the gap with something else. And such an effort would have to be global to mean anything. I am not saying it right but I really see no way for it to reasonable work.

Funny how the Green New Deal really only applies to America. The biggest polluting country on the planet, China is basically exempt. So America has to spend trillions to change our economy while China gets to proceed with business as usual.

To be honest no one is stopping anyone from doing their part in changing this. No one really needs a paper to stop you from driving a petro car or eating meat. Sad truth is that these industries only strive on the demand for their product or services. Anything from going for a quick bite at the fast food joint, to taking a flight to Las Vegas for the weekend even when you a buy a brand new phone. All of these are just convenient for the easy life and it's hard to let go. Even for Cortez that shouts out to stop Comercial flying but doesn't lead by example by showing how to do it the green way, instead she racks up a large spending in flying and Uber driving.

Not here to bash on the lady I'm sure she's going to do a great job one day. But it's an example of what I want to comment. Even if these politicians manage to get rid of one industries. With power they will not hesitate to indulge on what is not allowed for us. They are no different from us and they all wish for the good of earth. But at our expense and deaths this will be the only way to save earth if they do it by force. When that day arrives I will call it the Genghis Law.

                                                So true, Ray! So, here's an idea . . . . .

Why don't we just test it out first? Why don't we set up a state or territory somewhere that models EVERYTHING the Green New Deal mandates . . . energy efficiency, equality etc. . . . and then see what happens? Then we'll have HARD EVIDENCE as to the true benefits of such a plan . . . instead of trying to convince people with hand waving, Microsoft excel charts, and virtue signaling. Anyone who want's to be part of the experiment is free to move there. If this plan is so good, it's bound to work, right? If not, you haven't lost a whole country.

Side note: That's what I find so cool about our states . . . short of federal laws/ mandates, each one can pretty much govern as they see fit . . . which means we can really analyze the benefits/ hindrances of various policies.

In a biblical worldview, we believe the Earth will not be saved by any of these ideas. This place will go up in an eternal fire so hot that the element of fire itself will be destroyed. Now, it's ok to not believe that, to be humanist or atheistic if you want...but one of these views is wrong. Just to be safe, I plan to focus on helping save *souls* rather than lives. But while are alive, the US should not become socialized and jobless. So we need diffrent solutions Dems. If I do my part in my community, then leaders should do theirs.

There should be more pressure put on China, Mexico and other third world countries. The U.S.A. has a much smaller issue compared with these countries. So, if we are really serious about climate change; let's make it universal. Let's stop buying products from these countries until they comply.

Don't take my word for it research it , you got Google and YouTube. I planted eight trees is this past week, we don't need all this fancy political expensive BS.
