I literally say the Ben Affleck at the same time as Dan.

Whenever Greg fights Dan, there's always that round where it's practically splitting hair trying to decide who wins. That's round 1. I would go with Greg for the same reason as Spencer.

Catching up/binging on old Movie Fights and, look I love them both, but does Lon ever not vote for Dan (99% of the time)? (Granted, I know he picks Ed once in this episode, but that’s the only time I can remember him not picking Dan in a while).

Also, there was an episode (had to be more recent than this, since I’m watching them in reverse, newer to older) and there’s a round where he picks Dan and when listing his reasons why, he gives a whole list of reasons why for Dan’s pick, and while they were true, Dan didn’t argue those points. And Movie Fights isn’t supposed to be who made the better choice, but who made the better argument, and so I thought that was weird that no one mentioned that.

        Greg deserved the first round.
        Dan deserved the second.

Get Out is my favorite horror movie.

I couldn't finish Hereditary, I literally stopped before the 3rd act. But I guess then it can be argued that it's a good horror film.

Greg won me over in the first round. I watched Far From Home yesterday and was thinking that Tom Holland is my favorite Spidey now. But then Greg reminded me WHY I always liked McGuire as Spiderman. Greg deserved the first round

Y'all did Dan wrong on the Horror movie round. 1) he picked the best movie and 2) he absolutely shut the other picks DOWN with his final argument.

I have one big complaint in this fight: You all are talking about the scripts they follow, the overall plot set by the writers and you don't really say WHAT it is the actors themselves add to the movie. Everything you mention could just as easily be explained by a good script and decent acting. Brilliant acting includes improvisation without it being obvious, the tone in which lines are developed, the subtlety but skill in the body language used to convey these deep and conflicted emotions. The pacing of a characters speech. What a person adds to their own movie and what they are willing to do - such as not using any/many stunt doubles and taking a little risk.

That's been bugging me a lot and I'm only a few minutes in. Not to mention you are clearly impatient and talking over each other, which doesn't seem the most civilised and doesn't actually make it seem like you are convinced that you are right. Conviction shows in patience, calmness and knowing you can allow the opponent the chance to speak because whatever they say you can turn around. It felt like the guy speaking for Tom Holland was grasping at straws and the one for Mcguire couldn't think of anything for which the actual actor deserved merit, rather than just the production team for the movie as a whole. As for the third guy... Having not seen many Spiderman movies, I have no idea what he's talking about, but I'm thinking I might have seem the movie and thought it forgettable because back when I was a little kid these movies annoyed me and I didn't like them much, nor did I find anything great about Spiderman.

Now however, I can kind of see that Spiderman might not actually be so bad - not as a character or as a movie. He's likeable and the characters around him are likeable. Because Tom Holland's light-hearted performance, that does actually sound enthusiastic and inexperienced but just cocky enough to sound like a typical teenage boy, in one of the Captain America movies made me consider actually watching Spiderman, I have to vote for Tom Holland. I'll admit it could even be the writers, directors and other people that were more deserving of being merited for this better version of Spiderman, since I haven't seen enough of him to be sure if it's Holland's performance or just good writing and directing that makes the character interesting. If it is Tom Holland's performance, then I also have to figure out what part of it makes him so much better a Spiderman than those I have seen in the past and was terribly disappointed by.

Lon really had a poor reasoning for saying that Greg and Ed took each other out by both arguing Spider-Man. I forgot what other thing he disagreed with me on but I hate him for it now. jk lol

Shamiek Moore as Miles Morales was able to do a teenage origin Spider-Man story in 2018 and made it leagues better than Homecoming, which skipped all that because "we've seen it a million times already!". Even Jake Johnston as an old weathered Peter that is kinda sick of it all was better than Tom Holland. Just because it's animated doesn't mean it's just for kids. A good movie is a good movie, regardless of how its made.

I know one shouldnt discuss religion or beliefs, but, to the question of "did X deserve to go to hell?". The answer is NO, they do not. Whoever they are, whatever they did in the film (havent seen it), they dont / cant deserve to go to hell. And it's not even that relevant what version of hell is shown in the movie (if one is shown) - as long as the core common concept of hell is meant, no human being that lives, has ever lived or ever been conceived as a fictional character could possibly deserve hell, and there's one simple reason for it : any crime, no matter how heinous, even if perpetrated over the span of an entire lifespan, is finite. Even if we were to design a fictional "worst human ever" that is given absolute power over mankind as they are born and then proceeds to live for over 100 years and does nothing but the worst crimes that absolute power allows him to do : even that hypothetical being can never deserve hell, which is in essence an infinite punishment. Even if our hypothetical human caused the extinction of humanity and/or most living things on earth somehow, infinite punishment would be too much : because it has no end, because it is infinite. No finite crime could, in our hypothetical thought experiment, cause a deserved infinite punishment.

Also, this is purely hypothetical, to me at least, as I dont think there is such a thing as hell... but, again, thought experiments...
