These are the best dirt/street tyres ever. But it's hard to order them. They are mostly out of stock. I like the 26 x 2.2.

I ordered a 27.5+ bike with DHF/ DHR tires, but lets be real... I ride local simple single track, gravel, and street most of the time. I rode holy rollers exclusively in my bmx days, and I was looking for something similar for the 27.5+, and the closest that I found was the Schwalbe moto-x. Lets make some noise man, its time to see a street/ trail bias tire in 27.5, 27.5+, 29, and 29+! Man I would LOVE some tubeless ready 27.5+ holy rollers... And since my ankle is broken from biking, all I can do is sit around and think about crap like this lol

Is there any tires that are close to these in a 29er?!

I’d say the closest thing you could get to these tires for a 29er would be an ardent race

I have these tires, and I feel like they are very thin. I have has little things get stuck in my front tire many many times. My only complaint with them.

Maxxis should make this tire 27,5 size!

Hi Seth, what do you think compared to Maxxis Crossmark for street riding, in terms of rolling resistance.

                                ambivalent ambiguity  1 years back

I know your question was directed to Seth, so pardon me for sticking my nose in, but I happen to have run the Holy Roller, Hookworm and the Crossmark. For what it's worth, The Crossmark was much more prone to punctures and COMPLETELY unreliable on gravelly and sandy surfaces. As to rolling resistance, the Crossmark is the lightest of the 3 tires but required more inflation to bring them out of the "spongy" stage. They always struck me as baloonish at top psi. In sum, if your streets are fairly free of debris, the Crossmark is ok. They're easier to get up to top speed. But they are the farthest thing from bombproof. Pricey, too.

Please do a "Can I use my BMX on a MTB tail?" video with those tires and a rear break (and maybe front since many bmx bones are pre-drilled for a front V break) installed. That's the bmx MTB question that makes sense to me. Can I hack my BMX to work for a trail bike also? And also the question, With the limits that break cables and dual purpose tires impose what will I have to give up to do it? And lastly, how hard would it be to switch back and forth?

Hi Seth, you know, since i saw your Holy Rollers, I was looking to get a pair; unfortunately, i couldn't but instead I got a pair of Hookworms :D They are very big and heavy tires, but you know, I can go even faster with them, and they feel amazing when cornering and jumping around town... that surprised me a lot because they are twice as heavy as the stock tires that came with my commuter bike. So why is it? is because they are the best street tires ever invented by mankind? magic? I am saving now for a couple of DTHs which are much lighter to make an experimental comparizon. Cheers!

Effects SFM Since Maxxis doesn’t make Holy Rollers larger than 26, I went with Hookworms on my 29er. I’ve only ridden around my apartment complex on them so far, & they’ve done quite well. I’m heading to Ray’s MTB in Cleveland this weekend. It’s all concrete & wood, so I’m using the Hookworms for this trip. I’ll post a review (brief here, thorough on my channel) sometime next week.

so is it /just/ the tire and inner tube or a whole wheel when ordered?

I'm sure you've figured this out by now but for anyone else that may see this I can tell you this: If you're buy a wheel it will generally be only the rim and hub (spokes too of course the 'wheelset' will often be sent prebuilt), if you're buying a tire it will literally be just the tire (no tube) and the same goes for a tube (no tire). So, if you need to order an entire wheel, you will have to buy each component separately.

I remember when they changed the name from the pimp daddy to the holy roller , right when they came out with them , I had that issue of snap magazine with I think it was Neal Wood in the ad for the pimp daddy , I always thought they should make the maxx daddy and the ring worm in 26 too , oh well holy roller is for sure one of my favorites

I use these right now, I love them but I'm thinking of trying out the hookworms since I'm mainly using my MTB for road use.
