I Animated a Fight Scene in 24 Hours for ZHC
- Published: 15 July 2019
- Although this channel has become more generally an art channel, than specifically animation, I have been itching for a while to do another animated short or animated fight scene. So when ZHC came to me for another project, specifically asking for an animated fight, I was super stoked!
And he wanted to pay specifically for 24 hours of work, which presented an interesting challenge... what canI realistically animate in 24 hours? And it turned out to be a lot more than I thought!
So in this video I'll take you through the whole process for how I animated a 2 minute animation/fight scene in just 24 hours. I go through the whole process from character design, rigging, backgrounds design, animating then sound design.
it was also a blast using ZHC's original character, Dax, for the fight and turning Zach's little plush punching bag, Turkey, into a hulking monstrous version of himself.
Hope you enjoy the video! And be sure to go watch Zach's vid where a bunch of other talented artists did some really impressive work!

also, I animated this in adobe after effects CS6, drew all the art and characters in Sketchbook pro and used a plugin called duik to rig the characters.
